Welcome to the Alnwick/Haldimand Library of Things. We're excited to share our collection of items to borrow that go beyond books!

Book Club in a Bag

Simplify your book club selection with Book Club in a Bag! These kits contain 10 copies of book-club-worthy titles.

Terms of Borrowing/Loan

6 week loan period.
No renewals.
Kit may be picked up at or returned to any library location.
Kit must be returned at the desk during operating hours, and not returned in the outside book return.
All items are checked out to one member’s card.
The member who borrowed the kit is responsible for:
- The distribution and return of all items to his or her group members; and
- Any damages to the books/bag, or lost items.
- The cost of a damaged or lost book varies depending on the item.

Seed Library

HOW DOES THE SEED LIBRARY WORK?

This special type of library at our Roseneath Branch allows people to share seeds!

Have fun, learn a new hobby, help green your community, and share your love of gardening with others. (modify)

Borrow! Sign out seed packets with your library card!
Use! Plant your seeds and watch your garden grow!
Return! Bring back any seeds you've harvested through the season to add to next year's Seed Library! MODIFY

Ontario Park Day Passes

Check out our day-use vehicle permits, providing free access for one vehicle and its occupants to more than 100 provincial parks in Ontario!

How to Borrow:

Ontario Parks Vehicle Permits can be borrowed for one weeks time.

Replacement cost for lost passes: $125.00

How to Return:

Ontario Parks Vehicle Permits can be returned to the branch location you borrowed the Park Pass from during library hours of operation.

Themed Activity Bags

Each branch now has themed activity bags! Each bag contains books, activities, and themed toys for your enjoyment with you children/grandchildren at home!

Patrons can now sign out themed bags that contain books, activities and toys. Suitable for Ages 2-7, with 3 available for ages 8+
